Cal Poly has confirmed that none of its 13 students currently enrolled in summer programs in France was in Nice on Thursday during the Bastille Day attack that killed 84 people and injured 202 others.
All Cal Poly students in France are safe, university spokesman Matt Lazier said Friday.
The 13 students are enrolled in programs in Lyon, Grenable, Paris, Pau and Toulouse, he said.
The university was contacting and confirming the safety of the more than 330 of its faculty, staff and students throughout Europe and providing safety information and support to all students studying abroad, Lazier said.
