Seventy-five students picked up their diplomas Friday night as Mission College Prep celebrated the Class of 2015 at a ceremony in San Luis Obispo.
Of the graduating class, a remarkable 98 percent will be attending college. Two students will pursue careers in the military.
This year’s valedictorian was Nathan Schuman, and the salutatorian was Kyle Van Housen.
“Mission Prep’s Class of 2015 is most distinctive, perhaps, for their love and support of one another,” Principal James D. Childs said. “This group of young people has served generously in myriad ways throughout their four years, demonstrating the biblical principle that to whom much is given, much is expected. They feed the homeless, glean the fields, support local nonprofit organizations and give of their time and talent in service trips near and far.”
