The event runs from 3 to 5 p.m. and includes classroom tours, live music and food, according to a news release.
The private school serves nearly 200 students at 1005 North Oak Park Blvd.
“We are grateful for the support we have received from the community and look forward to their joining us for this momentous event in the life of Coastal Christian School,” Principal Dave Rehnberg said in the news release.
Coastal Christian School was founded in 1971 as Central Coast Christian Academy. The school received a donation of 27 acres on Oak Park Boulevard in 1977, but was unable to build for various reasons.
Several years ago, the school was included in a development plan called Los Robles del Mar, which proposed about 300 homes on land outside the Pismo Beach city limits.
The San Luis Obispo Local Agency Formation Commission denied Pismo Beach's request to annex the land, and Coastal Christian later received county permission to use water from an on-site well.
