Poly marks Latino Heritage Month

The Cal Poly Multi-Cultural Center will celebrate Latino Heritage Month on Wednesday with a poetry event featuring poet David Romero.

Another Type of Groove: Spoken Word Poetry is free and starts at 7:30 p.m. in Chumash Auditorium in the University Union. Romero is a Mexican-American poet from Diamond Bar whose poetry ponders family, identity, social justice and Latino culture.

Another Type of Groove is held the first Wednesday of each month during the academic year. Each event has a featured poet and an open mic segment. For information, call 756-6256.
