Arroyo Grande High School was briefly placed on lockdown Tuesday afternoon after the activation of a fire alarm.
Lucia Mar Unified School District spokeswoman Amy Jacobs said the fire alarm turned on with no fire. After clearing the high school and determining there was no smoke or fire, school officials ended the lockdown and extended school lunch to 1 p.m.

The school's official Twitter account stated that, "We are working with authorities to silence the alarm."
