Three motorcyclists were arrested Saturday after allegedly taking California Highway Patrol officers on a high-speed chase on Highway 101, according to a CHP news release.

About 4 p.m., a Templeton CHP unit tried to stop three motorcycles that were going about 100 mph on southbound Highway 101 at North Spring Street in Paso Robles, the news release said. All three motorists fled at speeds of more than 120 mph, using off-ramps and on-ramps to avoid being caught, the release said.

Additional units and a CHP helicopter followed the motorcyclists to an address on Graves Avenue in San Luis Obispo.

Three men were taken into custody without further incident and the motorcycles were impounded.

Jonathan Alexander Martinez, 19, of Perris, Walter Arreolarodriguez, 21, of Santa Clara, and Ulises Penalopez, 21, of Mountain View, were arrested on suspicion of felony evading, the release said.

No further information was available Sunday evening.
