The Paso Robles Police Department is warning residents to secure their garages and yards after four off-road motorcycles were stolen from residents’ homes since July 27.
Between July 27 and Aug. 7, four burglaries were reported from open garages and unsecured side yards on Rose Lane and Salida Del Sol.
During an Aug. 6 theft in the 500 block of Rose Lane, the owner of a blue 2007 Yamaha TTR 90 witnessed a man pushing the motorcycle out of the side yard and onto the street, according to a department news release. By the time the bike’s owner got to the front of the house, the thief had started the bike and driven away.
