Deputies are returning several thousand dollars’ worth of stolen tools and electronics after arresting a Los Osos woman but losing her fleeing male accomplice Thursday morning, according to a news release from the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office.

Officers received a report of two suspicious people on the 2300 block of Oak Ridge Drive in Los Osos about 7:15 a.m. Neighbors reported a man and woman prowling near a garage and several yards, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

When deputies arrived, they detained Angela Rose McGee, 31, of Los Osos, but the man, later identified as 25-year-old Ross Thomas Munson, also of Los Osos, fled on foot. More officers and a K-9 unit searched for Munson but have not located him. Officials are currently seeking an arrest warrant. Deputies searched the car associated with the pair and allegedly found property related to up to 15 thefts in the area, many of those reported that morning.

McGee was arrested on suspicion of receiving stolen property. As of Friday morning, she remained in County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.

Anyone with information about Munson’s whereabouts or the alleged thefts is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 781-4550 or Crime Stoppers at 549-STOP.
