Paso Robles police are asking the public to help identify two thieves who swiped power tools worth more than $3,000 from a business earlier this month.

They are described as a white male adult with brown hair and a medium build, and a white female adult with long, dark hair and a medium build, according to a Paso Robles Police Department news release. The news release included surveillance camera screenshots of the thieves and their vehicle, believed to be a late 1990s or early 2000s silver Chrysler Sebring convertible with a black top.

While investigating a reported theft that took place June 2 on the 1800 block of Ramada Drive in Paso Robles, officers found security footage of the thieves on a neighboring business’ surveillance system, according to the news release.

Police said they observed the thieves arriving at the business in the convertible before the male entered the building, stole the power tools and ran outside as the female waited. Both of them then fled, according to the release.

Anyone who recognizes the thieves or their vehicle — or has any knowledge of the burglary — is asked to call the police department or Crime Stoppers at 805-549-7867. Information also can be submitted online at www.slotips.org or via text messaging by sending “slotips” and an accompanying message to CRIMES (274637).

Information can be given anonymously. Crime Stoppers will pay a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest or conviction.
