Man arrested in alleged stabbing at Burger King parking lot

A San Luis Obispo man was arrested Sunday after allegedly stabbing another man in a Burger King parking lot, police say.

Police responded to the Burger King at 1358 Madonna Road shortly after 7 a.m. for reports of a stabbing that had just occurred. Officers on scene found a man with a laceration on his torso, who claimed he and James Angelico, 55 of San Luis Obispo, had been arguing, when Angelico attacked him with a knife and then fled on a bicycle.

San Luis Obispo Police Department officer found Angelico and his bicycle at the McDonalds parking lot at 275 Madonna Road soon after, police say. Angelico was then arrested and booked into County Jail on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon. Bond was set at $25,000. The victim was treated at the scene and released.
