Man arrested after allegedly exposing himself to motel housekeeper

A housekeeper at a motel in San Luis Obispo had a frightening experience Saturday that ended with a man being arrested on suspicion of felony indecent exposure, police say.

At about 1 p.m., the housekeeper was cleaning a room at a Motel 6 when a man allegedly came into the room, dropped his pants and exposed himself to her, San Luis Obispo police said. The man then locked the door with the housekeeper still in the room. When she began yelling for help, the man fled.

The man then ran into another room, where a housekeeper discovered him. San Luis Obispo police apprehended him with help from San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s deputies, who were at the motel on an unrelated matter.

Benjamin Kuhzarani, 32, of San Luis Obispo was booked into County Jail on suspicion of felony indecent exposure, resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance. Bail was set at $20,000.
