Members of the Sheriff’s Office’s Gang Task Force arrested three alleged gang members suspected of beating and robbing a man Monday in Oceano.
On Friday morning, officers served two search warrants on the 1300 block of 21st Street in Oceano and another on the 100 block of South Elm Street in Arroyo Grande.
Luis Armando Ramirez, Jr., 21, and Andres deJesus Sernarozales, 22, of Oceano, and Adolfo Barrera, Jr., 24, of Arroyo Grande were arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and robbery with enhancements for allegedly being gang-related.
Sheriff’s Office Spokesman Tony Cipolla said Friday the alleged victim was walking on the sidewalk when the suspects, whom he knew to be members of a local street gang, pulled up beside him in a car and told him to get in. The three allegedly drove the man to a field in Oceano where they beat him and stole his money and cell phone.
