Paso Robles police say a 17-year-old boy was caught Friday afternoon with an ounce of black tar heroin following a minor traffic stop.
After the teen was pulled over for a mechanical violation on the 1200 block of Creston Road, he allegedly informed officers he did not have a driver’s license.
As officers were awaiting a tow truck, they noticed a large object in the teen’s pants. When asked, the teen allegedly admitted to officers it was heroin, according to a department news release.
During a search, officers allegedly found approximately one ounce of heroin, worth an estimated $2,200, as well as nearly $650 in cash.
