A 23-year-old San Luis Obispo woman was arrested late Wednesday on suspicion of felony driving under the influence and causing injury after her vehicle slammed into a house at Orcutt Road and Johnson Avenue.

A 23-year-old San Luis Obispo woman was arrested late Wednesday on suspicion of felony driving under the influence and causing injury after her vehicle slammed into a house at Orcutt Road and Johnson Avenue.

According to a news release from San Luis Obispo police, Cassandra Cheatham was driving northbound on Orcutt Road about 11:15 p.m. when she veered off the road and struck a curb and small embankment.

Her vehicle became airborne, cleared another vehicle that was parked in a driveway, and then crashed into a garage.

Cheatham and her male passenger received minor injuries in the collision, according to the news release. The homeowners were in the back of the home at the time and not injured.

Cheatham was arrested and transported to San Luis Obispo County Jail where she remained this morning in lieu of $100,000 bail.
