Four Atascadero State Hospital employees reported being hurt by patients from Nov. 30 to Dec. 10, according to a set of preliminary attack reports from the facility.
A rundown on the incidents shows that at 8 p.m. Nov. 30, two nursing employees were injured while stabilizing a patient on a unit. They reported back and neck pain. Then, at 5 p.m. Dec. 5, one nursing employee injured his wrist during the stabilization of a patient on a unit.
Five days later, at 7:45 p.m. Dec. 10, another nursing employee suffered pain to the jaw after what hospital officials are calling an aggressive incident with a patient.
Violent acts by patients are not uncommon at the psychiatric facility for men who have committed or are accused of crimes.

Staff names are not released and job titles remain general in attack reports to protect the identity of employees, officials said. Patients' names and injuries are not given because of federal law.At least 10 other attacks occurred in November, according to previous preliminary reports from the facility. Those resulted in injuries ranging from scratches on the face to cuts and bruises.
