A man and a woman were arrested after they allegedly robbed a gas station Sunday night in downtown San Luis Obispo.
Lt. Jeff Smith said the Police Department received a 911 call at 11:25 p.m. reporting that a man had entered the Shell station at 296 Santa Rosa St. and motioned that he had a weapon in a jacket pocket. The man demanded money from the cash register, which the clerk handed over.
The suspect then fled on foot along with a woman who was acting as a lookout, Smith said.
The woman was later found in the parking lot of a Jack in the Box restaurant on Santa Rosa Street. She was identified as Miranda Bjerre, 20, of San Luis Obispo.
Smith said the male suspect was found in a trailer nearby and was arrested. He was identified as Tyler Lowman, 31, of San Luis Obispo.
Lowman was booked into County Jail on suspicion of robbery and giving a false identity to a peace officer. Bjerre was booked into jail on suspicion of robbery. Bail for each was set at $30,000.
