Authorities have arrested a San Miguel man accused of child molestation after roughly five months of investigations by two San Luis Obispo County law enforcement agencies.

Johnny Manuel Flores, 47, a civilian employee at Camp Roberts, was arrested at work on Thursday, according to a San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Office news release.

Paso Robles police and the Sheriff’s Office allege that Flores befriended the parents of his victims, girls under age 14, and then molested them.

The Paso Robles Police Department first learned of an alleged incident in October, while the Sheriff’s Office started its own, separate, investigation in November, according to the news release.

Flores was being held in lieu of $1 million bail in the San Luis Obispo County Jail as of Thursday afternoon on suspicion of committing lewd acts to children under age 14, according to custody records.
