A 27-year-old San Luis Obispo man is being held at the County Jail on suspicion of battery, false imprisonment and domestic violence after a number of incidents were reported at a Shell Beach home.

According to Pismo Beach police Sgt. Steve Weir, two women at the house accused David Galvan, 27, of assaulting them.

One woman alleged that she had only been living in the house for two days when Galvan confronted her in an agitated, abusive way. She reportedly told investigators an argument ensued and Galvan punched her in the face several times.

The other woman alleged that Galvan grabbed her by her hair and dragged her into her bedroom and kept her there against her will. When one of the women tried to call authorities, according to police, Galvan grabbed the phone and broke it.

Galvan was booked on four misdemeanor warrants and faces several charges connected to the women’s allegations.
