An intoxicated Morro Bay man carrying a handgun and four knives was arrested Monday, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Two deputies responded to a drunk-in-public call at 3:54 p.m. in the 900 block of Little Morro Creek Road in unincorporated Morro Bay. They placed Tony Edward Anderson, 43, under arrest after determining he was drunk and unable to care for himself.

During a pat-down, he was found to be carrying a loaded handgun and four knives. He was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public and carrying a concealed weapon. He was booked into County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.

No one was injured in the incident.
