A Paso Robles sex offender was arrested by San Luis Obispo police after allegedly sexually assaulting a female patient at the San Luis Obispo County mental health facility.
The alleged attack happened around 11:30 a.m. Sunday. Police say Ambrose Wesley, 56, went into the patient’s room, pinned her down and exposed himself.
A nearby psychiatric technician heard the disturbance and was able to stop Wesley prior to the assault escalating, said Capt. Chris Staley.
Wesley had been taken to the mental health facility earlier in the day by Paso Robles police.
