San Luis Obispo County sheriff's detectives are continuing to investigate a case of torture and false imprisonment that allegedly occurred last week in California Valley.

The Sheriff’s Office today released some additional details of the assault that allegedly took place over a three-day period ending Friday. An unnamed 27-year-old man was held and beaten with a hammer, stabbed and burned with a blow torch while being locked in a trailer on the site, which is in the 13000 block of Camarillo.

The man was treated at a local hospital for non-life threatening wounds and has been released. Investigators are in the process of charging two men, Daniel Andrew Zeller, 42, and Phillip Clyde Williams, Jr., 44, both of California Valley, with torture and false imprisonment.

The motive for the attack is still undetermined, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
