UPDATE 11:30 p.m. Ronald Owens was found safe in San Luis Obispo on Monday night, according to the Sheriff's Department.
Original story: The Sheriff’s Department is looking for a Nipomo man who was released from jail Friday morning after being booked on suspicion of domestic violence and has not yet returned to his home.
Ronald Owens, 57, who was released on his own recognizance, takes medication for bipolar disorder. He made two calls, one to his wife and another to a relative, before leaving custody. Neither call was answered, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
Owens is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and 180 pounds, with blue eyes, gray hair and a gray mustache.
