A Santa Maria man was arrested at approximately 2 a.m. Saturday after allegedly shooting at a San Luis Obispo restaurant.
Armando Andrew Ruiz, 21, was involved in a fight at a late-night restaurant in the 1000 block of Nipomo Street, according to a news release from the San Luis Obispo Police Department. After the fight ended, Ruiz allegedly got into his vehicle and drove by the front of the restaurant, brandishing a firearm.
Witnesses said a single shot was then fired from the gun toward the restaurant, according to police.
Officers searched the area and alerted nearby law enforcement agencies of the vehicle description.

A sheriff's deputy spotted a vehicle matching the description in Pismo Beach and stopped the driver. A firearm was found inside Ruiz's vehicle, according to police, and he was identified by several witnesses.
Ruiz was taken to County Jail on suspicion of discharging a firearm from vehicle, discharging a firearm at an occupied building and possession of a loaded firearm. Bail was set at $250,000.
