Suspected prowler found nude in Arroyo Grande hot tub, arrested twice in a week

Officers found a suspected prowler nude in an Arroyo Grande home’s hot tub — along with a large bag of kids’ and women’s clothing and pornography — before the first of his two arrests this week, police announced on Saturday.

Police said they found David Lawrence Beeman, a 32-year-old parolee from Arroyo Grande, at 7 a.m. Tuesday at a home on Flora Road, near Coach Road on the eastern outskirts of the city.

Detectives learned that some of the clothing in the bag belonged to the homeowner, police said.

The Tribune has not independently verified this account.

Officers booked him into County Jail on suspicion of prowling. He was released on his own recognizance, police said.

On Friday, detectives and patrol officers did what they described as a parole search at Beeman’s home, where they found more evidence, according to police.

They arrested Beeman again along East Grand Avenue near Elm Street, and then booked him into County Jail on suspicion of possessing stolen property, police said.

Police did not disclose the time of the search, the arrest or the location of Beeman’s home.

He was not in custody as of Saturday afternoon, according to jail records.
