The trial against Jesse Bakerriley was postponed until Monday because a juror was extremely ill, according to the judge.
Bakerriley, 36, is accused of breaking into a Los Osos home in 2009, prompting a tenant to fire shots that killed the man’s alleged accomplice. Opening statements in the trial were made Thursday.
A key witness in the case, Peter Davis, was expected to be cross-examined Friday afternoon by defense attorney Thomas McCormick.
Judge Barry LaBarbera re-scheduled the case to Monday at 10 a.m.
