A 22-year-old man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of burglarizing homes and vehicles in a Grover Beach neighborhood.
Around 3:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a burglary at a home in the 800 block of North Fifth Street, according to a news release from Grover Beach police. Officers searching the area found a man who matched witnesses' descriptions of the burglar in the 1300 block of Atlantic City Avenue.
The suspect, Kyle Elliott of Grover Beach, had a loaded and cocked semi-automatic firearm in his pocket, police said.
An investigation found that Elliott burglarized two homes after entering through open garage doors, and also stole items from unlocked vehicles in the neighborhood, according to the news release.

Elliott was booked into County Jail on suspicion of residential burglary, tampering with a vehicle, armed criminal action and carrying a loaded and concealed firearm.
