A Grover Beach woman was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving early Sunday after allegedly crashing into a vehicle while driving the wrong way down a one-way street in San Luis Obispo.

Melissa Hernandez, 24, was driving a 2008 Saturn Astra on the 600 block of Higuera Street shortly after 2 a.m. when her vehicle collided head-on with a 2005 Ford Expedition, according to San Luis Obispo police.

The driver of the Expedition, Tony Davis, 35, of Paso Robles and his passenger, Sone Ross Jr., 35, of San Miguel suffered minor injuries in the crash and were taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

Police determined Hernandez had been drinking before the collision. She was arrested on suspicion of felony driving under the influence causing injury, and booked into County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the San Luis Obispo Police Department at 781-7317 or Crime Stoppers at 549-STOP.
