Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 71-year-old North County man on suspicion of child molestation Thursday afternoon, according to County Jail records.
Richard Harvey Huber was being held as of late in the evening on suspicion of two counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under age 14, jail records show.
His bail was set at $200,000, which is the default for that section of the Penal Code, based on $100,000 per count.
County property records records show a man with that name and age living in Heritage Ranch, a community at Nacimiento Lake north of Paso Robles.

Huber was booked into County Jail just after 3:30 p.m., according to custody records.
First-time offenders convicted of this felony face up to eight years in state prison per count, according to the state Penal Code.
Sheriff’s Department officials could not be reached for comment on the case as of Thursday evening.
