An Oceano man was arrested Monday night after he tried to run from deputies after a traffic stop.
At 11:31 p.m., sheriff's deputies stopped a vehicle at Ocean and 23rd streets in Oceano, according to a news release. The driver and sole occupant, Johnny B. Odom, allegedly refused to get out of his vehicle and tried to drive away.
The deputies grabbed Odom, 47, and pulled him from his vehicle. The vehicle, however, kept moving and side-swiped a parked car, and then crashed into another, pushing that car sideways into a third vehicle.
The damage to all four vehicles was considered minor, according to the news release.
