Deputies looking for man who allegedly burglarized San Miguel homes

The Sheriff’s Department on Friday was looking for a man wanted in connection with at least two residential burglaries in the San Miguel area.

Deputies and detectives searched for several hours Friday for Matthew Stephen Colligan, 23, who they said fled a house in the 1400 block of K Street about 9:45 a.m. A CHP helicopter, ground units and security from Camp Roberts helped look for Colligan but were unable to find him, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

Colligan is described as about 6 feet tall, 190 pounds and having brown hair and eyes. He was wearing a black shirt and pants, deputies said.
