An Arroyo Grande man was arrested on suspicion of a host of felony domestic violence and gun charges Tuesday after an argument with his wife allegedly turned physical in front of the couple’s children.

At about 7:09 a.m., officers responded to a domestic violence report at a home in the 500 block of Cornwall Avenue.

When they arrived, they saw Cole Martin Stacy, 32, sitting partially inside a vehicle in the driveway, according to a, Arroyo Grande Police Department news release. The officers spoke with the alleged victim, who identified Stacy as her husband. The woman had suffered unspecified minor injuries in the incident but declined medical treatment, the department said.

Officers allegedly discovered a stolen rifle and another loaded weapon at the scene and learned that Stacy had prior felony convictions barring him from possessing guns.

He was arrested on suspicion of spousal abuse, child endangerment, possession of a loaded firearm in public, being a felon in possession of a firearm, being a felon in possession of ammunition and possession of stolen property, all felonies.

Stacy remained in custody Wednesday morning at San Luis Obispo County Jail in lieu of $100,000.
