The former Cuesta College human resources employee accused in a May 31 breach of sensitive employee data and a host of other crimes since failing to show up in court has been arrested for the second time in a month.
Lacey Fowler, 29, was arrested at about 1 p.m. Monday by Paso Robles police on the 100 block of Capital Hill Road, Cuesta College officials announced in a news release.
She was then taken by Cuesta College police to San Luis Obispo County Jail.
According to jail records, Fowler was booked into County Jail at 3 p.m. Monday and remained in custody late Monday afternoon in lieu of $727,000 bail.
Fowler was originally arrested June 18 on suspicion of a felony count of improperly accessing computer data. Fowler posted bail and failed to appear at her arraignment on July 6, prompting an arrest warrant to be issued.
The District Attorney’s Office also charged her with possession of heroin and methamphetamine for sale, battery of a spouse, violating a restraining order and being under the influence of a controlled substance, as well as fraud and burglary of a commercial vehicle allegedly committed while on the run from authorities.
A second arraignment had not yet been scheduled in San Luis Obispo Superior Court as of Monday afternoon.
