San Luis Obispo police responded to a reported bomb threat Tuesday morning at the Mustang Village Apartments near Cal Poly, but soon found the threat wasn't credible.
No one was injured in the incident, and no buildings were ordered evacuated.
Some residents of the apartments left the area on their own, and police said in a news release Tuesday afternoon that they are not preventing any residents from returning to the apartments.
The report was received at 11 a.m., the Police Department said. Sgt. Kurt Hixenbaugh said that officers realized the report was false before deploying a bomb squad.
