2 teens found hiding in closet at Morro Bay home are arrested on burglary charges

Two teenagers were arrested Sunday after they were found allegedly attempting to burglarize a Morro Bay home.

According to Morro Bay police, officers responded to the 2000 block of Ironwood Avenue at 11:55 p.m. after a man was seen climbing through an open window.

Officers searched the home and found 18-year-old Judal Emmanuel Thompson and a 14-year-old female hiding in a closet.

The pair were arrested without incident.

Officers discovered a camping trailer parked at the home had also been burglarized; $200 that was stolen was recovered.

Thompson was booked into County Jail on two counts of first-degree burglary, and the female juvenile was booked into the Juvenile Services Center on the same charges.

The case is under investigation by the Morro Bay Police Department. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Police Department at 805-772-6225.
