Person robbed and kidnapped in Grover Beach turns up in King City

A person who was robbed and kidnapped in Grover Beach on Tuesday afternoon turned up in King City later that night, according to the Grover Beach Police Department.

At about 3:30 p.m., someone reported being robbed and kidnapped in the 1500 block of Grand Avenue, Chief John Peters said. At about 8:25 p.m., the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office called the Police Department to let them know that the victim was with police in King City, according to a news release.

Two Grover Beach detectives responded to King City to speak with the victim, the department said. No further information about the incident was immediately available.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

The department isn’t releasing any more details at this time, Peters said.
