Nathaniel Clegg and Gustavo Catalan of Cambria teamed up with Joe Escobar of Morro Bay to take top honors in Xtreme Bronc Riding at the 2015 Santa Maria Rodeo this past weekend, competing for the Nate Clegg Team.
The men each won a Weatherby shotgun and prize money, and will be featured in the PRCA Rodeo Magazine.
Catalan and Clegg say they have been friends for years. When Clegg became interested in rodeo sport three years ago he called Catalan and the two teamed up.
Xtreme Bronc Riding is a three-man-team rough-stock sport. Clegg and Catalan serve as the team’s ground crew and have worked with several riders during their career.
