Concert to benefit Friends of the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve

Join Friends of the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve for an afternoon of holiday music on Saturday, Dec. 15, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at the Fog’s End Barn, 2735 Main St. in Cambria. Seasonal favorites will be provided by Ron Perry, vocals, hammer dulcimer and keyboard, and Mary Schwalbe, vocals and acoustic guitar.

Both musicians have professional music backgrounds, mostly in Southern California. Schwalbe was a church soloist for 22 years and sang opera as well as performing in musicals in the Long Beach area before moving to Cambria two years ago.

Perry, who plays multiple instruments, taught music in Fullerton for 33 years before moving to Cambria in 2011. He also directed music at churches and played in several rock bands. The two met on the Ranch, while Schwalbe was tackling invasive weeds and Perry asked how he could volunteer. They discovered their shared musical interest and have been playing together since.

Hors d’oeuvres, warm holiday beverages and a wine bar, along with a raffle will round out the evening’s entertainment.

Tickets are $15 and are available at the Cambria Chamber of Commerce and at the door.
