Chris Van Winkle, who won the Best of Show Award at last fall’s juried show, will be the juror for this year’s show at Cambria Center for the Arts.
The Fall Juried Show will be from 10 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 1350 Main St. (Old Cambria Grammar School).
Displays will be open to the public from Oct. 8 through Nov. 15, with an artists’ reception set for 5:30 to 7 p.m. Oct. 9 Awards will be presented at 6 p.m. The reception will feature live music, refreshments and a wine bar.
Van Winkle’s paintings have won awards in various shows including Watercolor West, the Transparent Watercolor Society and the National Watercolor Society.

He served as president of NWS for three years and has taught art for the past 30 years at Citrus College. He previously juried annual shows for Watercolor West, the Watercolor Societies of Oregon, Nevada, Arizona and others.
Van Winkle has also conducted workshops in Russia, France, Spain, Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, Canada and Australia.
Half of Van Winkle’s art is created in the studio and the other half on location. Each year, he leads a group of artists on an adventure in which they follow in the footsteps of Gaughin.
