Cutruzzola Vineyard has purchased a commercial building at the northwest end of Main Street in Cambria and plans to put a tasting room in half of the structure where Sand Shell Realty has been for years.

The other half of the building at 555 Main St. is occupied by longtime lessee Once Upon a Tyme.

Cutruzzola has owned a Santa Rosa Creek Road vineyard since 2001. According to www.cutruzzolavineyards.com, the property is 7 miles east of downtown.

The vineyard has 2 acres planted with riesling and 5 in pinot noir. Stephen Dooley of Stephen Ross Wine Cellars is the winemaker.

Francis Cutruzzola is the proprietor of the eponymous vineyard.

Lisa Miller, who is in charge of sales and marketing, declined Sunday, Oct. 19, to reveal any more details until the tasting room conversion is further along.
