Cambria issues top planning agenda

County Planning Department hearing officer meets at 9 a.m., Dec. 21 in the Board of Supervisors Chambers, County Government Center. Agenda includes:

Continued hearing about 4005 Burton Drive, update and modify vacant 7,971 square-foot Brambles Restaurant building to include a restaurant, 514-square foot brewery and three hotel units totaling 1,585 square feet. Project also would add in the present parking-lot area a 3,501-square-foot, two-story, seven-unit hotel building fronting West Street near the Core Care building and a new 775-square-foot retail building near the Oliver’s Twist building. Project would disturb about 3,500 square feet of a 1-acre parcel.

Jordan Road, about 3,000 feet east of Cambria Pines Road/Highway 1 intersection, new 7,000-square-foot home with 1,800-square-foot attached pool house and 1,700-square-foot attached garage, disturbing about .56-acre of an approved building envelope within Brown Parcel Map CO02-0272.

9199 Via La Montanita, about 1.5 miles north of Highway 46 west and 12 miles east of Cambria. Convert 2,140-square-foot garage on lower level of two-story home to a wine processing facility (no public tasting, no industry-wide or special events) with no site disturbance on 158-acre parcel within agriculture land-use category.
