Newly elected CUSD will have a full plate

It doesn’t seem that newly seated trustees of the Coast Unified School District will have a post-election honeymoon period.

After being sworn in and seated at the meeting that begins at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, the newly constituted board is to elect officers and then juggle topics as diverse as putting a cellular-communication tower on the high school grounds and getting an update on two appeals filed against a county committee’s decision not to approve the Cayucos territory-transfer petition. Trustees also are to get an update on having iPads in the schools and consider approving a Charter Communications contract for a wide-area network.

The meeting is to be held in the board room (former cafeteria) of the Old Grammar School, 1350 Main St. For details, call 927-3880.

To be sworn in and seated are re-elected trustee Cindy Fratto, newly elected trustees Judith Hillen and Sue Nash and student board member Alejandro DeAlba.
