A third annual backyard Pinedorado golf tournament benefiting the Friends of the Cambria Library building fund is planned by Jon and Cathleen Scott at their home on Warren Road.
Last year’s tournament netted about $1,500 on top of the first year’s $500.
Players use sand wedges to hit a wiffle-typle golf ball on each hole, running about 50 feet each. All are decorated with “crazy fun” signs and other surprises, Jon Scott said.
The tournament runs from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, with players shooting to complete 50 holes.
