Early registration is encouraged for the third annual San Luis Obispo County Food Bank Hunger Walk, set for Saturday, Sept. 22, so walkers have more time to seek sponsors.
Seven county communities participate in the event to raise funds to feed the hungry. Proceeds stay in the respective communities.
Despite Cambria’s small size and number of participants, it has consistently raised some of the largest sums.
The Cambria Hunger Walk begins with check-in at 1 p.m. in the Santa Rosa Catholic Church parish hall at 1174 Main St.
