D’Andrea, Scott play in jazz series
T he famous jazz artist series at D’Anbinos in Paso Robles (710 Pine St.) turns the spotlight on a couple of fine Central Coast musicians, saxophonist John D’Andrea and trombonist Bruce “Scotty” Scott on Sunday, Aug. 26.
D’Andrea, in addition to his jazz saxophone work, has been an award-winning Hollywood film composer with feature films such as “Dirty Dancing” and all of the music for the television show “Baywatch.”
Scott has been one of the top orchestral players in California with extensive playing in San Diego as well as the Central Coast. They will be joined by Luther Hughes on bass, Darrell Voss on drums and series co-producers Charlie and Sandi Shoemake (Piano/vibraphone and vocals)
