Topics to include: Relative ranking of various water supply concepts, based on evaluation criteria and weighting, as described in previous workshops. CDM Smith consultant to run criteria model. Board could select which four or five alternatives for a new water supply should be profiled in federal-and state-level environmental studies. Rough-estimate costs for each project could be released. Among options are: seawater desalination, expanded conservation and recycling programs, local and imported surface water, groundwater, hard-rock drilling and seasonal reservoir storage. The meeting probably will be videotaped; cablecasts are likely to follow the usual schedule (the following Friday at 6 p.m., Saturday at 9 a.m., Monday at 6 p.m. and Thursday at 9 a.m.).
