Candidates have signed up for three of four elected local boards that have seats up for election in Nov. 6.
As of 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, those who have filed their paperwork with the county Elections Division, 1055 Monterey Street, San Luis Obispo, include:
• Cambria Community Services District: Directors Muril Clift and Gail Robinette. Board President Allan MacKinnon had not yet filed. He told The Cambrian Tuesday he had not yet made up his mind. “I love what I’m doing, and I think this board is really on the right track,” he said, but “I’m waiting to see who will throw their hat in the ring.”

• Cambria Community Healthcare District: Board President Kristi Jenkins and Trustee Barbara Bronson Gray (both of whom filed for a four-year term). Nobody has filed yet to fill a two-year seat, and Trustee Greg Bates also has not applied to run again for his four-year post.
• San Simeon Community Services District: Directors Leroy Price and Daniel Morris Williams, whom the board appointed July 19 to fill a vacancy until November. Nobody has applied yet to fill a two-year vacancy left by the resignation of Terry Lambeth, although a district staffer said Vice Chairman Ralph McAdams has indicated he’ll likely run to fill that post.
• Nobody has filed yet for three seats on the Coast Unified School District Board of Trustees. Those positions currently are held by board President Cindy Fratto and members Robert Gong and Victoria Dandurand.
The deadline to file is Friday, Aug. 10. However, if no incumbent files for, say, the school board, candidates would have until Wednesday, Aug. 15 to file. —Kathe Tanner
