Candidates who want to run for seats on any of four local boards need to submit nomination papers by Aug. 10 to the county elections office in San Luis Obispo.
As of 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, two incumbents had filed: For the San Simeon Community Services District, Director Alan Fields; and, for the Cambria Community Healthcare District, Trustee Barbara Bronson Gray, who was appointed in April to fill out the term of John Headding.
Other seats up for election Nov. 6 include:
• Cambria Community Services District: Board President Allan MacKinnon and directors Muril Clift and Gail Robinette;

• Coast Unified School District: Board President Cindy Fratto and members Robert Gong and Victoria Dandurand;
• Cambria Community Healthcare District: Board President Kristi Jenkins and Trustee Greg Bates; and
• San Simeon Community Services District: Vice Chairman Ralph McAdams and Directors Leroy Price and a two-year vacancy left by the resignation of Terry Lambeth (two-year term).—Kathe Tanner
