Regarding “Cambria Is a State of Mind” by Tom Cochrun in the June 14 Cambrian: We also have a home in Cambria. I call it “my Heaven.”
My husband and I are from Southern California, currently living in New Mexico. We have come to the Cambria area for years with our kids. There is a force that keeps bringing you back — the beauty of the Pacific Ocean, unspoiled coast, the fresh air, the fabulous temperature!
We have been blessed with a beautiful piece of the coast, and the wondrous peace that comes with living there. It is not only the ocean, it is the trees, the mountains, the quaint village, the people. There is a certain feeling you get as you are driving on Highway 1, getting closer to the coast.
We also have the demands and commitments here in New Mexico, with our businesses, but long to be there, especially when we get the paper and read about all the activities, pictures, and know that soon we will be able to stay longer each time we come : )

We can truly call it home when we are there, a piece of our hearts still in Cambria — and also a dream come true ?
