Arroyo De La Cruz Field Trip. 9 a.m. July 8. Join D.R. “Doc” Miller to see blooming specimens of the rare Douglas’ mesamint, the ruby chalice clarkia, the Arroyo de la Cruz mariposa lily, the bluff California lilac, and possibly the dwarf goldenstar. Meet at the Elephant Seal Overlook north of San Simeon on Highway 1 at 9:30 a.m.; then proceed to the Arroyo De La Cruz site. The field trip will last about three hours.
