UPDATE, 1:25 p.m. Thursday, May 31: The county has postponed roadwork in Cambria's West Village, since it would interfere with access to the polling place at the Veterans Memorial Building on Election Day. No new date for the work has been set yet.
ORIGINAL STORY: Cambria’s Main Street from Cambria Drive (south of the Veterans Memorial Building) to Cornwall Street (by the Pine Tree Restaurant) is scheduled for maintenance work from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5.
County road workers plan to apply an oil treatment to that stretch of the busy downtown artery, work which will produce intermittent delays. Message boards and flaggers are to be in place to control traffic.
The road is to remain open, but some businesses won’t be accessible by vehicle during the work. “No Parking” signs will be posted. For details, contact Tim Cate of the county Public Works Department at 781-5252.
